Echocardiogram (Echo) is a test, using high frequency ultra sound waves to make a picture of your heart. This test is also called diagnostic cardiac ultra sound. An echo uses ultra sound waves to create pictures of your heart's chambers, valves and the blood vessels attached to your heart. An echo can't harm you, you can eat and drink before the echo test as you normally would. Echo testing is done by a consultant cardiologist using GE brand echocardiogram machine Cardiac Investigations: Trooping I and T, B Type natriuretic peptide (BNP) assay is specially done for cardiac status.
